This is the representation of the spaniards born in Mexico, those who fought for the independence, those who had a project for themselves trying to get rid of their own people so they could get better benefits and opportunities in their new raped country: La Nueva España. This illustration represents the racism and the transformation of the culture, a "menina" wearing a "china poblana" dress instead of their european style.
This is also part of the series of paintings for the bicentenary of mexican "independence".
